We are very interested in learning everything we can about our client’s business and goals, and in playing our part in their ongoing success and growth.

Impact Your Market

The image you present to your prospects can have us much to do with the success of your business as does the quality of the product or services you offer, and can often mean more to a prospect than price.

Your image is not your logo. Neither is it a statement of who you say you are. It is instead how your prospects perceive you… and their perception as to whether-or-not you are the one to best satisfy their needs.

It comes from the professionalism with which your present yourself… the strength of the impression you make… and most importantly… your ability to influence the subconscious thoughts and feelings of your prospective client or customer.

In short, the difference between mediocre and excellent marketing depends upon how well you present yourself… and how well you target your marketing directly to the needs and desires of your prospects.

Your vision may give you the ability to offer something of genuine quality and value, but it’s your image that will make or break the sale.

Every member of the Alyption Media team has a strong background in market psychology, and is ready and willing to help you take your company to the next level of business success.

Graphic Design

Advertising materials have to catch the eye, and immediately grab attention. Moreover, they need to resonate with the subconscious mind of the viewer and communicate positive messages and values.

The graphic elements you use in your advertising and website must be specifically designed to achieve this, and attractive too.

However, an attractive design alone is not enough. The goal must be to create a design that is both eye-catching and attractive to its intended market.

Effective graphic designs, therefore, cannot be created without a strong sensitivity towards the psychology of the intended audience. This is where Alyption excels.

We constantly study the psychological reactions to shape, color, and design elements.

Because of this we are able to produce stunning design work that is also incredibly effective in achieving the desired result.

Logo Development

Back in the fifties, when Ray Croc bought his first MacDonald’s Restaurant, he made two critically important decisions.

The first was to establish a detailed "success model" that would guarantee absolute consistency in product, hours of operation, and the dining experience, at every single one of the new restaurants that he intended to open.

The second was to continue his first restaurant’s theme of "golden arches" at each new location.

These "branding" decisions, whether deliberate marketing genius, or just blind luck, played a huge role in the success his chain would enjoy in the years to follow. Moreover, the arches, by default, became the company’s logo.

Branding is nothing new. For decades, RCA ruled the world of phonograph sales using the image of a Dalmatian staring lovingly into the large, cone-shaped speaker of a Victrola record player, with the words, "His master’s voice" beneath. It appeared in every single piece of advertising they put out.

It was only after the company went "modern" and discarded their old logo that they pretty much disappeared into oblivion, getting lost amongst their growing competition.

Today, we see the same dedication to branding and use of logos among the most successful companies in the world. In fact, IBM paid a veritable fortune for their simple three-letter logo.

And, that’s not all. Their choice of the color now known as "IBM Blue" and used on their website and all advertising pieces, was the result of extensive psychological testing that showed its use would enhance sales. As a result, IBM is now known to the rest of the business world as "Big Blue."

So too did Intel pay big bucks to come up with their "Intel Inside" logo, which is always accompanied by the same few musical notes in their TV spots.

And, the list is endless, from the Chevy "bow tie" to the Shell gas station sign… we can evoke these images in our mind’s eye without a moment’s hesitation. Such is the incredible power of branding.

Fortunately, unlike the big bucks paid out by "Big Blue" it won’t cost you a king’s ransom to have us help you design your own compelling logo to make your mark on the world.

Photography

Pictures are strongly evocative, and a good photograph truly is worth a thousand words.

However, not all photographers have the same innate ability and training to take good photographs. Photography is an art, and small details make the difference between excellent pictures and average.

Even more importantly, any photo used in your marketing campaign needs more than just an attractive image and bright colors. It needs to resonate with the psychology of your target market.

At Alyption Media, we have the technical know-how to make sure that a photo works, and the commitment to never settle for less.

And, whether it means drawing from the archives of the world’s best photographers, or having our exacting needs met by our own superb photographer, we will get the right shot for you.

Moreover, having a full-time, in-house photographer gives Alyption’s design team an incredible degree of added creative flexibility, especially with local projects.

Website Development

In today’s ever-changing world of business, having a strong, professional presence on the Internet has become an absolute essential.

The Internet is increasingly the first place your prospect will go to look for any product or service, local or otherwise.

For the real estate firm that wants to lock in that all-important relationship with a potential buyer or seller, the online "Gallery of Homes"… and "Virtual Tour"… has become obligatory.

For the kitchen table entrepreneur who wants to make a major impact on the world market, but who doesn’t have the big chunk of cash needed for a magazine ad or catalog mailing, the Internet now offers the same powerful marketing opportunities once reserved for only the largest corporate entities.

Indeed, it’s a fact that two of the biggest corporate giants of today, eBay and Amazon.com, started out from a garage and website. And there are many mores stories just like these.

We all know the Dell brand. Their catalogs fill our mailboxes. We see their ads all over TV. But, before they ever spent a single dime on advertising, they had already built a wildly profitable business based solely on an Internet website and brilliant search-engine promotion.

On the local level, having an attractive and effective website is just as important.

Unlike the "good old days" when walk-in traffic was king… the first introduction between a business and prospect now often occurs as a visit to that business’s website, before the prospect ever walks out their front door.

Moreover, the sale can be made or lost before that same prospect even gets up from their computer.

Make no mistake. The savvy business owner will never underestimate the importance of personal communication, networking, and community involvement in building any local business.

However, after that handshake, a little conversation, and passing your business card… suggesting a visit to your website may be the key that cements your relationship with that potential customer, and locks down the sale.

But, there is far more to it than just having a website up on the web. The image that your website presents to your potential customer depends on many factors.

It must grab their attention in the first few seconds of viewing.

It must speak directly to your customer’s needs, before it says a single word about you.

Most importantly, it must do its proper job of selling your product or service, and allow each visitor to leaves your site with a sense of satisfaction.

For this to happen, it has to look good, be fast and easy to navigate, and provide all the information and functions that your visitors expect.

It is also important to understand the delicate and unique psychology inherent in proper web-selling etiquette.

Traditional TV and newspaper advertisements push their message to the public.

The Internet, on the other hand, involves users pulling information to themselves through search engines like Google, Yahoo, or MSN.

The two processes are quite different, and what may work in print often fails on the web. If this factor is not taken into account, your website will probably not return the results you had anticipated.

Moreover, behind the visible, your website must have the proper structure and meta-tags, etc., necessary to attract the search engines. Otherwise, it will never be seen by those seeking the product or service you offer.

Fortunately, you don’t have to be a techno-geek to put this exciting technology to work for your own business.

The Alyption Media team has many years of experience in successful website development.

Combine this with our astute marketing savvy and stunning graphical designs, and you have an unbeatable resource at your disposal for all of your website development needs.

Words That Sell

Why is it that top copywriters get paid huge sums of money, just to write a few pages of sales message on a website or advertising piece?

The answer can be found in the old advertising adage, "Good copywriting doesn’t cost… it pays!"

An effective sales message requires a deep understanding of human buying psychology as well as the application of time-tested and proven marketing principles.

Simply put, unless your advertising message does its job of making the sale… you’ve wasted every single penny you’ve spent… no matter how little… or how much.

Back in the thirties, when Ford fell from its lofty perch as the number-one seller of automobiles on the planet, becoming a distant second to General Motors, Henry Ford approached advertising genius Clyde Bedell to help turn the tide.

Bedell promised the desired results, but demanded an obscene amount of money for the job-more than a million in today’s dollars. Ford didn’t flinch. Playing second fiddle to GM was not something he could abide by.

Bedell immediately scrapped all of Ford’s advertising, which had previously focused on their automobiles’ features… i.e. horsepower, speed, brakes, etc.

Bedell’s new sales brochure instead emphasized the "benefits" that owning a Ford offered the driver. Instead of horsepower, he touted "exhilarating performance." And, instead of the other usual features, he offered reliability… beauty… safety… and pride of ownership… etc.

He then went on to back up each of these perceived benefits with exhaustive copy that not only detailed the features behind each of these benefits (the hows and whys)… but also gave each prospective new-car buyer the information they needed to feel assured that they were making the wise and educated choice in choosing a Ford for their next automobile purchase.

Simply put, Bedell focused first on what he saw as the needs and desires of his prospects… then backed up these benefits with features and information to add authority and assurance to his sales message.

The net result: A shiny new Ford motorcar became a must-have object of desire for the American public, and Ford quickly shot back up to number one, and stayed there for decades to come.

Our point here is this: A simple shift in sales psychology resulted in incredible success for one of the largest, most savvy companies in the world.

Clyde Bedell called it, "Filling white space with words that sell."

It sounds simple, but unfortunately, many sales messages we see today fail to focus on these same timeless principles of effective copywriting.

All too often, the marketer will waste their opening opportunity talking about themselves, instead of first addressing the needs and desires of their target market.

Neither will they take the trouble to differentiate themselves from the competition, or give their prospect a compelling reason to choose their company above all others.

Or, awaken the desire and urgency necessary to close the sale.

Fortunately for our clients, not only is the Alyption Media team armed with a deep understanding of the subtle psychology of sales persuasion necessary to create effective marketing pieces… we are able to offer this expertise at a cost that won’t break the bank.
